So just how small is Deepshade Creations anyway?-
Quite small. The same person who designs and puts together the merchandise also takes care of photographing it, packaging and shipping it out, checking for new orders, answering e-mails, sending for new materials, accounting, and advertising, maintaining, and writing FAQs for this website (hello!).
Can I really trust ordering from a one-person company?-
Surely. I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't love it, so you don't have to worry about any disgruntled employees sabotaging your order; the person working on it actually cares about her customers. Plus, if a mistake does happen to occur, you can contact and be guaranteed to speak directly with not only the person responsible, but the person who will be able to correct it for you.
What's this about a mailing list?-
You can sign up by filling out the form located on the left menu bar. I promise you won't be spammed by useless emails twice a day, and I will NEVER give your information out to anyone (this also goes for any information you provide when placing orders). You'll only receive the occasional update on special sales, new merchandise, and craft show appearances. You can also unsubscribe at any time.
What about shipping charges?-
There are no shipping charges added to the totals of any orders. If a product's listed price is $20, that means you pay $20 and nothing else. It just makes things a little bit simpler.
And sales tax?-
Only if you live in my lovely home state of New Jersey. When you fill in your shipping information at check out, it will automatically add 7% if you live in-state. Otherwise, don't worry about it!
What's your return policy?-
Most sales are final. If you receive the wrong item, I will exchange it for the right one; if you receive a damaged item, I will replace it with the same thing. Basically, I'll correct mistakes, but I can't accomodate for mind-changing. If you've received a wrong or damaged item, please send it back within 21 days, with receipt, and I will send you its replacement as soon as possible, no extra shipping added. However, I reserve the right to refuse exchange on items with notable signs of wear/use.
What if a piece of jewelry is the wrong size to fit me?-
I have the lengths of all jewelry listed in the item descriptions, so you shouldn't have any problems with receiving your item and discovering that it's unwearable. However, if you see a piece that you like, but you know that its listed size will be too long or short for you, please email me before you order, and I'll let you know right away if I can make a customized one for you, and if it will cost extra. In the majority of cases, this won't cost anything extra; however, with some pieces I will have to raise the price, or it may not even be possible to change the size at all. This is why I encourage you to ask any questions before you place your order.
Do you sell wholesale?-
Yes, I do. If you are a retailer interested in purchasing wholesale from Deepshade Creations, please e-mail me to request more information and policies.
Can I purchase your work anywhere besides your website?-
The website is definitely the easiest way to purchase my jewelry, but you can also find me at craft shows throughout the state of New Jersey from about April-October. I keep an updated list of my schedule on the main page of the site. Also, if you visit Cape May, NJ, you'll find my jewelry being sold at Henry's on the Washington Street Mall.
